Perfect hair with Aki Hair Studio

I have been going to Aki Hair Studio for the past 3 years. Their  service along with their styling is nothing short of perfect. One of the main problems is that I myself don't spend the time to do treatments and maintenance. Can you imagine that my Japanese stylist - Eiji San has to remind me to come? And finally I did to basically do everything to my hair! As my hair had blacks growing half out already, a colour was needed but I wanted to go lighter without bleaching as my hair was too dry. A hair treatment was then done using natural ingredients from Viege Meticulous handling by Daphne I love the smell of the treatment consisting of vegetables and fruits Japanese green tea...

Yehwadam White Ginseng Collagen Pearl Capsule Cream

Yehwadam White Ginseng Collagen Pearl capsule cream from The Face Shop is a cream I say that has pearls in it! From the packaging towards the usage, you will love the entire experience. It came in this beautiful box Just look at that packaging, it gives the luxurious feel doesn't it? A closer look from the packaging to the pearls inside From the beauty of the outside to the experience of using it. My excited face opening it I always like creams that don't feel like creams, and this is exactly it! Smooth and non-stick texture. You may scoop up a pearl and squeeze it with the spoon or even mix it with your foundation Then dab it onto key areas of your face. As it's meant for dry...

Stronger through fitness

Fitness has been a huge part of my life after the Big-C, and I can safely say I am stronger because of it. After my surgeries, not only did I lose my core strength, but my entire body was very weak because I lacked nutrients due to the colostomy bag. During the first year, walking was all I could do and Tenji helped me with that. Due to the fact I had to walk her, I was able to gain stamina. Then after my first year, I transition to jogging with her, and by the second year running. At first, I only did cardio form of exercises such as running. I realize I wasn't gaining strength or putting on weight. Then after that,...

Living life with Stage 4 breast cancer

I promised I would write about Christy who is a stage 4 breast cancer patient on my Facebook recently. One of the main reasons is how I am so in awe with her story and her optimism. Diagnosis Christy here found out she had breast cancer through a routine check in October 2016. Due to financial and emotional stress from her divorce, she felt that had a huge impact on her getting breast cancer. She couldn't accept her diagnosis at first,  but she finally did when she found out that the cancer had spread to her liver. In early 2017, she got her left breast removed along with her lymph nodes. After chemotherapy, she found out her  cancer had spread to her neck,...

Review: Mederma PM Overnight cream to reduce scarring

Some of you may have noticed because you have messaged me on this before, I have a scarring problem. My surgical wounds became keloids ! I was searching high and low for a scar removal cream but none worked. Mederma was recommended to me after my first surgery by my surgeon when hypertropic scars started forming. It's usually recommended to reduce the appearance of scars resulting from surgery(like me), injury, burns, and even acne to make them softer, smoother, and less noticeable. The ones I've tried before didn't work though possibly because I wasn't consistent enough. And then I found the first overnight cream to reduce scarring by Mederma and have decided to write a review on it for others who have...

Joey Yap Feng Shui Reading for my new home

Yes, the biggest change in my life is getting a new home! With a new home comes more responsibilities such as finances, renovation, etc. Of course, as a spiritualist, I am a person that believes in doing, thinking and practicing good deeds. Thus, I didn't say no to a reading opportunity presented to me as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. Recently, a friend of mine whom some of you may know; Joyce aka Kinkyluefairy introduced me to Joey Yap's academy. Joey Yap's academy does many things that I never knew such as courses, bazi reading, training, and feng shui as well. He has written multiple books too There was a whole shelf of it and even more While waiting for Jasper, a coach in...

GE14 : A New Malaysia

On 1oth of May, many of us woke up with a smile and excitement in our hearts! It's a brand new Malaysia after GE14 and it is monumental because we have changed the government together as one! It was on the 9th of May that everyone came out regardless of race or age to vote. Honestly, this is my first time voting, and I went in bright eye, and bushy tail even when naysayers tried to discourage me. Many people who have voted before thought it would be impossible but we did it as a nation. I saw the power of social media helping to turned the tides this time around. Prior to the elections, everyone was sharing news of what's happening...

What is cancer immunotherapy?

We know that cancer is rising in Malaysia and other countries, and the treatments available. One of the available options in some countries is cancer immunotherapy, but what is it? I learnt alot about it at IEEPO 2018 in Greece with 54 countries in attendance. Little ol me represented Malaysia to be there. The layman definition is below: Basically using your own immune system to attack cancer cells, and it works better for certain types of cancer, i.e., colorectal, lung Many pharmaceutical companies who have done research in this area are embarking on awareness of cancer immunotherapy. However, there are problems such as: Biggest one is financial because cost of immunotherapy is high Access to treatment Awareness of what it is There were some...

Thomas Sabo Spring/Summer collection 2018 and Generation Charm Club

This Spring/summer 2018 season, Thomas Sabo is focusing on their sterling silver collection. It focuses on individual look and cultural diversity. On top of that, they are also reinventing their charm collection with their Generation Charm Club Collection. The Spring/Summer range extends from artistic, tropically mythical motifs through to edgy wearable hinged hoops, as new style codes of the season. Here are some designs that I like because of the colours and artistic individualism. Ta-da - the new Generation Charm collection, and you can see the edgy charms yet it exudes a high fashion look I personally liked the Tropical theme from the Sterling silver range because it has various colours, yet it can match with any piece of clothing you wear. I...
