Daily life in Niseko

If you are wondering whether there's anything to do besides skiing, the answer is No. Your daily life in Niseko is all about snow sports, and it's very addictive once you've learnt it. If you are not prepared to ski or snowboard, then other parts of Sapporo is better suited for you. Of course, there are other things we do besides skiing, so to simplify the agenda for those going, you can just use mine :) The first thing you do after breakfast is hit the slopes especially when the weather is beautiful If not, you would be skiing down a mountain with low visibility when the wind is crazy! You may have lunch at the top so you can check out the...

Meiz Travels : Experience in Koh Lipe

My first trip of the year was to Koh Lipe for some much needed R & R. The question that comes to mind is what to do when you are there correct? For me, all I wanted to do was swim, read a book and relax BUT that didn't happen. Why? The JOURNEY there was quite difficult as there's no direct flights, you would need to fly to Langkawi and then take a ferry from Langkawi to Koh Lipe. The thing about that is that when you arrive in Koh Lipe, there's no proper dock and you would need to transfer ALL your bags from the ferry into a 'sampan' or a longtail boat. From there, you will then need...

Makoto Japanese Restaurant @ Desa Sri Hartamas – Live Unagi Eel & Japanese Unagi chef

When I do a food review here, you know it MUST be good! Last week, I was completely amazed by this quaint little Unagi specialty restaurant at Desa Sri Hartamas. Not only was the ambience inviting, and warm, but they were authentic. The main thing I love about Makoto is that it has a skilled unagi chef who is flown down to prepare and cook unagi for Malaysians here. Plus, they are the first restaurant in Malaysia to fly the live eels down twice a week from Tokyo! Before I begin showing you the courses I eat, please note that they have a seasonal menu so the food I ate might not be there anymore in 2 months. Time to brace yourself...

Pangkor Laut Resort – One Island, One Resort

Truly one island, one resort, Pangkor Laut Resort by YTL is definitely a getaway that is an unforgettable experience. If you have been following, I come to Pangkor Laut at least once a year, but this is probably my first time writing a detailed experience of my stay. Everyone constantly asks me, why do I love it so much? Well, my answer is below and they say pictures say a thousand words, and that's how this post will be. The accommodation and resort grounds  When you arrive, you are warmly greeted from the jetty all the way to the entrance where they will brief you about the resort grounds. Just the sight of what you see when you arrive already...

Honeymoon : Food in Hirafu Village Niseko

Before I forget the places, another must highlight on my trip to Niseko was the food at Hirafu Village. It was delicious to say the least, and I am already salivating recounting the food there. Do note to book all of these in advance especially during peak season :) 1. Izakaya - Bang Bang An izakaya restaurant which is usually recommended at Hirafu! If you like grilled meat, and skewered food, it's a good option especially from the cold ! This is a yummy salad which you can order to start with Look at this cheese on meat skewer, do be adventurous and try a couple of different types of skewers there A picture of us before we left, and it was basically our first meal...

Healthy diet for cancer patients and survivors

A healthy diet is something I preach every single day to everyone around me ( I apologize if I nag sometimes), but YOU are what YOU eat! Of course, it got me thinking along the lines of sharing it with the other young cancer survivors and patients as we have a whole life ahead of us, and we have to prevent a relapse from happeming. Plus, learning how to cook our own meals means that we know exactly what we are putting in our mouths. That's exactly what happened, NCSM along with Panasonic Malaysia organized a cooking class with a healthy 3 course meal for our young cancer patients and survivors support group. They could bring their caretakers along to learn as...

That Much Needed Beach Vacation – Krabi

It's that time of the year where projects are piling up, events are at its peak(which means loads of event attendance or emceeing), and you have no time for yourself to relax! For me, when things like that happen, I will slot in a quick beach vacation to relax instead of feeling overwhelmed and that's exactly what I did! I went to Krabi where everything is affordable and the beach is nice :) This trip was also part of an incentive trip with the PersonEdge team for them to getaway too! We were welcomed at Beyond Krabi resort with a drink and fresh fruits Was the rainy season BUT I was truly lucky to have 2 days of sun out of 3 Our beachfront...
