Lately, I have been traveling so much that I thought it would be good to write a post in regards to our travel essentials! There was once upon a time where traveling was pricey(just coz I was a student), and tedious because I had to carry so many things with me… I am sure many of us fall prey to lugging everything under the sun with us when we travel!!!

However, I’ve come to realize that we only need a few things to be able to “survive” in another country if our baggage got lost in the plane somewhere… and here it is..

1. Passport and a travel pouch – This is a MUST or else you can’t even leave the country!!! The travel pouch is so handy because I keep all my foreign currencies in it, my USA driver’s license and important documents in it including my passport… Can you imagine I use to put all these various things everywhere and I almost lost my I-20 because of it before!!!

2. A good sturdy luggage bag – That for me is my Rimowa because it’s light and can withstand alot of pushing, pulling around. Plus, it’s fashionable.. nuff said!

Love how there are zippers on both sides so both compartments don’t mix

Carry it with me all over especially for work because it’s big enough to put gowns yet light enough to carry

3. Skincare – I cannot live without my daily regime when I travel because of my sensitive skin!! I have tried using a facial cleanser I bought off the rack once when I was overseas because I forgot to bring mine… and I immediately broke out! Came back to Malaysia with a pizza face 🙁

The oh-so friendly therapists when I recently went to get my products before I flew off to Seoul

4. USA currencies – This is a MUST for any traveler because you just want to be safe just in case your home currency is not available for exchange. I learn my lesson the hard way when I brought too little cash to Thailand and the smaller exchange did not take RM that time.. I had to scrounge whatever I had to pay for a cab to the airport and it was definitely scary especially when you are in a foreign country. So, remember to always bring either US dollars, or Euros with you, currencies that are easily exchangeable.

5. Young Living Essential Oils – This is for you to get a good night’s rest in a foreign land, and for those with air sickness!!! I swear by this because it helps me in the plane, and to sleep in the hotel… Plus, it helps with constipation, bloatedness,etc.. you know it’s easy to get these types of symptoms if you are not used to the food or don’t take enough fruits right?

In terms of application, there is a guide to help you for various conditions. For example, I rub peppermint around my navel in circular motions because I have indigestion. This essential oils can be applied topically simply because it’s 100% pure.

These essential oils basically help ease any discomfort when travelling:) Btw, I am seriously not getting paid to say this!
