For this post, I am going to detail more of what you should do during the day! There are usually quite a fair bit of day tours you can choose from BUT I always prefer to go with a trusted cab driver who can complement your traveling style if you are not the type to wake up early for a 8am tour!
Upon recommendation from Caroline, the owner of Leelawadee Garden resort, we used Bew to take us to the Tiger Cave Temple which costs only 1200 Baht. If you want to contact him, click on his name and it hyperlinks to his Facebook!
After the 20 minute ride there, we arrived at a refurbished temple which seem really blinged out
Go crazy with the tigers!
Then, to challenge myself, we decided to climb 1297 steps to reach the top of the mountain.. which is 4x more than Batu Caves! Btw, the steps are not small, they are extremely steep and has different height!
Nearing the top, I was panting, choking and couldn’t breathe(result of no exercise and going fast at the beginning), but this tour guide heading up as well encouraged me to wash my face with cold water and gave me some gatorade to drink… Although I was so close to giving up, I decided to just try a few more flights hoping that we are near the top… Lo and Behold, I was simple 3 feet from the top… so close! I am thankful to this tour guide for helping me out of her kind heart…. And I learnt NOT to give up because you never know how close your goal is…

Second thing I recommend is the Sunset tour
Starts after lunch around 12.30pm where a boat will ferry you to four different islands
Swam in the open ocean near the chicken island
My favourite part is landing at the last island and simply chilling there while having bbq
Our your guide and his assistand preparing bbq for us
So nicely setup
Yummy chicken skewers
Love this picture where all the boats are parked
breathtaking views of the sunsetting
Look at how the colors change as the sun goes down… But all of us just couldn’t stop staring at it while having our bbq dinner with fruits which was yummy!
After the tour, I would like to ask all of you taking it to PLEASE TIP the tour guide and crew.. so much manual labour to take us around and you can’t fork up a few dollars for them? That’s what happened with our tour where no one tipped except Ben and I..Further more, the rest of the people came from richer countries such as Singapore…. T.T
One tour I would advice against is anything related to ELEPHANTS because these elephants can perform due to the fact that they are TORTURED! So, please DON”T GO!
Short and sweet tips for you guys.. hope you found this helpful:)
Love,
Mei Sze
