So, the second day of my Seoul trip was spent with the bloggers flown from around the world for the Omega Butterfly De Ville Launch. They were sweet enough to organize a special day trip for the bloggers in Seoul… Thank you so much Omega!!!
All of us were chauffeured around in a swanky black van with plush seating! Feels like being in a mafia van you watch in movies but it was so comfortable
1. Park Sul Nyew Hanbok
The first place we went to is to try on Korean traditional outfits called Park Sul Nyeo Hanbok, very famous in Korea. Even Britney Spears was there! The first thing they did went you step in was to sit you down and start doing your hair to make it look like a Korean princess
Joyce and I in our traditional Korean princess outfits
With the ever famous Park Sul Nyeo herself!
From Left to Write: Joyce, Crazy Miki from Japan, Park Sul Nyeo, Helena from the USA, and I
2. Gyeongbok Palace
A stone’s throw away from the blue house, the Gyeongbok Palace is one of Korea’s most famous royal palace. There are countless of tourists thronging the surroundings as well
Peering in the main hall, you can see the intricate designs
3. Korean Fine Dining
Loving Korean food is one thing, but I had the opportunity to try a Korean fine dining meal thanks to Omega. Appetizers were served which had a ginseng root in it!
Sides along with your main course which you can munch on throughout your meal
The main course consisted of Beef Bulgogi with your lettuce and sides of Kimchi
4. Insadong
Always stress that Insadong is a must for it’s quaint restaurants and cultural goods
Tried this super delicious dokbokki at one of the side streets restaurats
5. Gangnam
Jamie brought us to a famous barbeque restaurant which served all types of meat as you can tell
So thin that the meat melts in your mouth
And famous for cold korean noodles
Thank you Jamie for your continued hospitality!! A must visit is Gangnam for it’s higher end shopping and vibrancy even at 11pm!!!
A tip is to shop in the subway stations as well as I bought many bargain items at the Gangnam subway which is HUGE! I will still go back to Seoul if I have the time, at least once a year because I just love that it’s alive 24 hours a day 🙂
Btw, am at Gaya Island Resort now, stay tuned to my updates on it!!
Love,
Mei Sze
