I know it’s been awhile since my last update and that I promised to write when I was in Hawaii but I was sick for two whole weeks!!! 🙁

Well, I just got back and am all raring to write about my experiences in Hawaii for all you hungry travelers wanting to head there soon…

This post is more about the local food that you should head to…

1. Original Pancake House

If you like brunch food, this is a MUST TRY! Vivian brought me there at 1pm and they were still serving brunch at that time… However, they close at 2pm, so your last order is about 130pm I believe especially for the Dutch Baby Pancake..

The interior is warm and cozy and there’s an outside sitting area too

Warm lighting and very English interior

What did I order? Omelet, with toast, and hash brown. All of their omelets comes with choices of sides such as rice, hash brown, potatoes, etc and it is huge! The one next to it is the Dutch baby Pancake which tasted like custard pancake… Worth a try but super feeling!

Our entire meal with two teas came up to 26 USD which wasn’t too bad. Plus, we got to take home the extras too!!

2. Crab Bucket

A local trend for seafood growing with restaurants like crab bucket growing really fast!

What do they serve? Crabs(loads of em) and all types of seafood in salt and pepper, or boiled

A side of salt and pepper lobster worth 18 USD

A bucket filled to the brim with all types of seafood such as prawns, two snow crabs, cray fish, oysters and potatoes! That costs us 45 USD but was well worth it! It is boiled in a spicy sauce, which may be too spicy for some…

Gauging myself with seafood and rice !!!

If you had to compare it to our local seafood, it’s no comparison at all because we have different types of sauces and spices… but if you are in hawaii, it’s worth a try:)

It’s always good to know someone when you travel overseas, so you can try the local food and experience it for yourself… so if you have any questions on where to eat, or go in Hawaii, I am always an email away!!

xoxo,

Mei Sze
