Birthday Chronicles 2013

Where to begin? I usually wonder how people can have an extended celebration for their birthdays but this is the first time that I myself had so many and over a period of 3 weeks! *gasps*For many, birthday celebrations gets lesser as they grow older because who really wants to shoutout about their age unless they are 16,18 or 21 right?!? After that, you start becoming a dinosaur : P (talking about myself more)

However, I feel that birthdays are a special date because it is the day that you are born and came into this world..why hide it? Haven’t you heard of aging gracefully?

My first celebration was in October with my family at Ming room!

First cake, two weeks in advance! I must have chinese food for my birthday becayse I am that china woman(although I can’t speak mandarin!). My first wish was made that day as well..

Then, it was time to ramp it up with some fun!

Booked a 3 bedroom suite as Ascott which was lovely and spacious!

Friends came throughout the day.. I want to spend my birthday with people who matter…so it’s best to have a 2 day 1 night celebration.. 🙂

Dinner at Tujo Brasserie and Grill, an outlet opened by Souled Out! The food was lovely… all of our dishes were delicious.. must go back!

Free dessert for mua.. yummy..everyone was fighting for it!

And taboo!!! it’s always fun to play taboo with close friends because it’s so much easier to describe things..

Next day, dim sum with Ju, and some other friends.. I always appreciate the ones that make time to come out and celebrate with me!

Another birthday cake with Ben’s family..Thank you Uncle Paul for that delicious cake !!! I love cakes and wishes too..and most importantly, sincerity when someone has thought about it..

First time trhing the cempedak birthday cake given by Rebecca Saw!! This celebration was pretty exciting because it was made one year in advance with Okada-san who has the same birthday as me… how uncanny?

Thanks to Company 27 who treated us to a fabulous meal!

Last but not least, on my actual birthday..what did I do? Everyone thought I would be clubbing,etc..nope..I embrace the “growing old” part! I stayed at home and ate a home cooked meal specially prepared by Ben Lim!
