I have resisted time and time again to do any form of laser on my skin as recommended by many skin specialists as I have pretty huge open pores on my face. Not only that, I do have my monthly breakouts which causes blemishes.

Finally, after much thought, I made a decision to try laser at Ido’s Clinic because Dr.Gan mentioned it’s fine for the skin, non-evasive(like to hear that), and does not hurt. Plus, there’s NO downtime 🙂

Open pores

As you can tell from my Before pictures, the open pores do not make my skin look smooth. I actually got these open pores because when I was younger, my mother wanted to solve my acne problem and she brought me to this facial therapist recommended by her friend who would do extraction(squeeze your pimples out) till no end! The worse part is that she wouldn’t let the wound heal and she would extract again which is wrong. Hence, it caused my skin to have large pores AND very sensitive skin on my cheeks(where the redness is at).

RevLite Laser

What is RevLite Laser?

It basically utilizes PhotoAcoustic Technology Pulse (PTP) to deliver very narrow pulse widths at peak energy to vibrate and fragment the pigments. In comparison to other Q-Switched Nd:YAG lasers, RevLite Laser delivers the energy in its hallmark flap-top beam profile, without spikes or hot spots. This has enabled highly effective procedures with less heat and increased safety.

What type of skin conditions are treated with this type of laser?

–  Birthmarks (Nevus of Ota, Café-au-lait, Port-Wine Stains)
–  Acquired Pigments (Melasma, Sun Spots, Aging Spots, Hori’s Nevus, Freckles)
–  Vascular Lesion (Telangiectasia, Spider Nevi, Cherry Angiomas)
–  Dermal Lesions
–  Tattoo Removal
–  Wrinkle Reduction
–  Removal of Fine Hair
–  Acne Scar Improvement
–  Improvement of Oily Face
–  Reduction of Pore Size With Smoother Texture

Any downntime and after care?

As mentioned up top, no downtime which is awesome!!!! The only after care is to slap on sunscreen to protect your skin which I assume you would naturally do everyday.

Does it hurt?

For me, it didn’t really hurt. The only thing which might scare you is the smell of something being burnt which is your hair on your face! LOL!! It feels like someone is giving very tiny pinches to your face and the doctor would stop if you feel any pain.

How do I look after just one treatment?

Ta-da! No filter as you can tell. My out-0f-bed look with nothing on my face!!

How much does it cost?

RM850 for your whole face per session. There’s a package of Buy 5 get One free but I think you probably need like 2-3 only to stabilize your skin. Look at my face after only ONE laser… astounding right?

My mom commented that she can see that my pores are smaller and the redness has gone!! Yay to that.

For me, it’s all about being practical, it’s just much easier to put on make-up for events or for the make-up artistes to put it for shoots as they don’t have to spend so much time to make my complexion look nicer!!!

Anyway, you can find out more at http://www.idosclinic.com/ !!!! Please pm me for free consultation on whether you need it first though, I can arrange it for you:)

Have a fantastic Raya weekend <3

Love,
