In recent years, I see many young kids very glued to their phones and now even parents of these kids!!! My dad is a youtube junkie, believe or not, he stays up late at night just to watch videos sent to him by his friends which I can never understand why?!?!
A person who loves nature by day, and a youtube junkie by night!
My mom a tech junkie in general, because she’s simply addicted to buying gadgets… and most of the time, she doesn’t know how to use them!
Anyway, back to the topic on technology, it’s so common nowadays to see couples being on their phones when they are eating out, families each having their own gadget and staring at them till the food comes… there are even people who I have seen that don’t talk the whole time!!!!!!!!!!!!!! gah!!!!!!!
The loss of our mouths might just happen with evolution if you guys are not careful BUT please do spend time with people around you when you are with them… how often do you see them?!? and one thing about my family which I hold dear is the fact my dad insists that all of us ate together at the same time every night for dinner which I think everyone should do too… All of us are not allowed to have our phones, but to catch up on each other’s day!!!
I,myself have fallen prey to technology too working on my BenQ F5 phone when I am around people because of it’s 4G LTE High speed main chip which allows me to download my documents such as scripts at the speed of 150Mbps !!! However, I don’t really have to worry about spoiling my eyes because it has a technology that minimizes blue light exposure with the low blue light technology derived from BenQ LCD monitors. With low blue light technology, users are able to fine-tune the brightness level that is friendly to the eyes depending on three common scenarios; multimedia (-30%), web browsing (-50%) and reading (-70%).
I still stick by my rule though to try not to use my phone in front of people.. eep!! Sorry guys, if I do that, please remind me not to if I am with you..
Or taking pretty food pictures with the 13 Megapixel camera on the BenQ F5 before I eat… Don’t be a hater! Everyone does it!! Plus, the BenQ F5 enhances the picture qualities in various light settings with the 4x ultra sensitivity mode picture. The ultra sensitivity mode works to give you brighter photos even in dark or dimly lighted spots, and the picture quality is further supported with BSI (Backside Illumination), providing four times light-capturing of each pixel to create clearer shots.
As I smile TOO often in my photos, the phone has a Smile Detection Mode which automatically snaps a pic when it detects your smile or you could opt to use the F5’s Voice Control Shutter, which automatically snaps a picture with a voice command.
The BenQ F5 has a 5″ screen and weights in at 135g. and has a 2,520 mAh battery giving it talk time up to 24 hours and 550 hours of standby time. Love it that it’s so light!! The F5 runs on Android Kitkat (4.4.2) and comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage with a microSD card slot to accommodate cards up to 64GB.
Yes, I was a happy camper when I got my BenQ F5, a new phone in the market at a very affordable price!!! It’s retailing at RM699!! Also, the F5 and T3 models come with an exclusive free casing and screen protector.

Of course we all need our gadgets especially our phones to work on, but as now I know the danger of lack of communication when I observe tables around me at cafe’s… this post is reminder to everyoone especially parents of young kids that technology may be able to help them learn, but beware of the dangers of it as well such as
– Your kids getting to know some untoward characters via social media sites
– The absence of communication while growing up leading to shyness, social withdrawal, etc.
– Bullying online which parents find it hard to detect
The internet is a very powerful tool for everyone.. just remember that k? Sometimes many young parents want to keep their kids quiet by giving them a tablet/phone to play with, but there are better ways to do that such as teaching them the joys of reading, coloring, and basically bringing your child back to the good ol days before technology came about;)
What are your thoughts on what I’ve mentioned?
Love,
Mei Sze
