However, I didn’t want to have so many heavy posts in one shot, so I thought I share my experience with a beautiful restaurant to you guys in this one. Enjoy!!
Have any of you heard of a virtual dining experience? No, I am not talking about skyping and eating at the same time which is probably the first thing that comes to mind. I am actually talking about reserving tables, looking at your menu through an app or online to reserve a table, look at the menu, and order before you head into the restaurant. Once you are in the restaurant, you will be served immediately overlooking a huge LED screen that surrounds the entire restaurant making you feel like you are in a different world…
Where can you find something like that in Malaysia you ask?
Right in Ipoh, and it’s called iMiirage.
First of all, you can pre-order your meal and reserve your table through their website HERE or by downloading their app available on android of apple called “MeCanOrder”
Then, it’s time to enjoy a visual and gastronomical adventure…
The entrance of iMiirage which makes you feel like you are about to walk into a sophisticated restaurant
Limited table arrangements and a restaurant fully encased with head to toe LED screens of the current theme which was the Tokyo aquarium
I know, it looks real.. they rotate the themes ever 3 months and there are 25 themes in total which takes 6 years to complete. According to the owner, he mentioned that it’s very tedious to make it look so real. For this Tokyo aquarium, they actually had to go there to the location itself to film it and extract each fish to replicate digitally in Malaysia such as the movements.
Imagine eating while looking at the beautiful scenery, the next theme is the Galaxy perhaps?

Surprise guest, pretty Miss Goh who is the first person to have an event at this beautiful restaurant
Now, onto the food and it’s prices
My order was the 5-course chicken set(RM49.90) from the lunch menu which includes either a watermelon or orange juice
Mushroom or Pumpkin soup, or for me a house salad which was fresh and crispy to the bite
Pan seared Fois Gras(French) with Broiche & Red Wine Juice(not part of the 5-course set meal, RM86.25), a recommended starter for those who enjoy the finer foods in life
Chicken Diavola which was presented on a nice platter with fries, wasn’t too dry which I enjoyed
Medeira Parfait with Morello Cherries (RM15.00) – The blend of the vanilla parfait with the cherries made it not too sweet yet had a delicate taste
Vanilla Pot Creme Brulee(RM13.13) – Loved the crunchiness on the top and the pillow soft creme at the bottom
Tiramisu(RM22.50) – Perfect for those who prefer the creamier types of tiramisu
Met the ingenious owner of iMiirage Mr. Andy, who’s also the owner of Nam Heong and Old Town White Coffee. He told us that he realized his childhood dream through this restaurant and he chose Ipoh because he would love for people to visit Ipoh for the sights, sounds, and now taste with iMiirage being one of the draws!!!
If you ask me whether I would come back again? My answer is a definite YES, I would love to come back to try out the various themes. While enjoying the ambiance, I can dine fresh western food at an affordable price.
