Yes, this post will have loads of pictures of my niece.. it’s a warning! However, it also showcases food pictures, and some beautiful scenery *wink*
A couple of weeks ago, in between emceeing for events, and shooting, I manage to grab a 2 day 1 night holiday with my family to bring my niece for a short break as well(I know…even babies need holidays!) to Bukit Tinggi! We were originally suppose to stay at The Chateau but was NOT allowed after paying because they have a NO CHILD POLICY!!!!! Although I understand that it’s clearly stated but I still didn’t appreciate the way they treated us at the reception.
Anyway, before we event went up to Bukit Tinggi, we had our usual lunch at the Bukit Tinggi resaurants which were oh-so-delicious! The restaurant I recommend is at the corner, first restaurant going up the hill. Another thing to note is that all of these pictures are taken with the Olympus EPL7, I want to show you some of the amazing pictures captured!
Picture of my parents
Love this wefie picture taken with the “selfie” mode
Up-close and personal with the food
If you are a ginger fan, do order the ginger chicken noodle soup, there’s so much ginger.. it’s actually spicy!
A must at restaurants here – the Fried black wild boar!
Steam fish here tastes so good!
Please please order fruits from the stalls and get it cut, it’s a must because of it’s freshness!!!!
Once we got the bad news of The Chateau not allowing us in, what we did was book the suite at the French castle next to it, wasn’t as good but beggars can’t be choosers eh?
The only Japanese Garden in a tropical country is located at Bukit Tinggi
And so, we entered
Look at how lovely it is… with cascading waterfalls
Another nifty function is the “art filters” on the Olympus EPL7 .. this one is one of the newer ones which allows you to adjust the colour you want.. I put it at green, so only the green comes out!
Another selfie! I like this function on the camera because it looks real, doesn’t cover everything up or make your eyes look bigger.. This is a no make-up look btw!
Bell enjoying her ice cream
sharing it with my dad on the TARMAC! LOL
Last but not least, a picture with the entire family including Ben at the games room
This trip is not only a testament for me to spend more time with my family and enjoying it, but it shows me how precious they are to me especially in my times of need! They will always be there for you and I hope YOU remember that… don’t abandon your parents guys even when you are married and have a life of your own!
You’d be sure I will spend alot of time with my family this holidays with Christmas just around the corner!!!
Love,
Mei Sze
