Everyone’s always asking me “Why do you always go back to Pangkor Laut resort when you can spend the money elsewhere?!”
My answer is the below besides the fact that it’s affordable through the Resident package which includes 3 days 2 nights stay plus 2 dinners, 2 lunches, 2 breakfasts and ferry transport for two people!
1. Attentive service and awesome room which is huge
From the start when you arrive at the registration at Marina Island, you would be treated very well with drinks and tidbits served while you are waiting
The room itself is HUGE and spans all the way to the back with two separate washing area and a huge tub which can fit two people..I love lazing around in the tub with the bath salts when I get into the room
It includes full toiletries which is good for forgetful people like me
2. Amazing view and surroundings
One of the must is to check out the sunset at Emerald Bay. You must SWIM there and stay till the sunset
Many nooks and crannies for you to take pictures
They even do up the flower features around the resort… look at the details!
3. The food which is ample and caters to every taste buds
We ordered one appetizer, 2 mains, and one dessert as one person is allowed 2 courses from the menu, so be smart about it!

You must at least try dinner at Uncle Lim’s for one night not only because of the view but the food
We were lucky we went during Uncle Lim’s 80th Birthday month because each table gets served his birthday menu which consisted of 8 yummy courses!!! This is the appetizer.. told you the food was ample!
With Uncle Lim himself who has been working with YTL for the past 30 years… so much dedication, energy and strength to work till today. I could see he was very hands on with the cooking as he watched over the other chefs

4. The Spa Village
You are guranteed to end the spa all smiles because the pre-spa service itself lasts at least 45 minutes where you will get to try Japanese, Chinese, and Malay bath rituals!!!
The surroundings of the spa is breathtaking too, so I urge those who have done their spa to spend time there or swim there at the very least

Honestly, 3 days 2 nights is not enough because your worries slip away when you are there! Ben and I have been there three times, and we have attempted to do work there all three times bringing our notebook but it never works because you are always out doing something such as swimming, hanging by the beach, jungle trekking, spa,etc
I hope Pangkor Laut Resort will be able to maintain their world class service forever as I was a little disappointed with the waiting staff at Feast Village this round as some of them who were foreigners couldn’t understand English. This was something I was not accustomed to at YTL resorts…
