You’ve probably seen the hashtag #TheInfluencer, read about it in one of the dailies, or magazines, or online media, and for some of you watched it! This is for those who are interested to learn more about it…

How was this show conceptualized?

Well, it was when I was driving home from a race that I just competed in with other influencers… I realized the chemistry when you put strong characters together who want to win something, especially when they are already known personalities. Plus, this programme will bring out these influencers character and out of their comfort zones. They might be able to write and influencer through blogs or vlogs but how are they really like in person?

Where is it aired?

On lowyat tv of course and on our microsite at http://lowyat.tv/theinfluencer/, you can even check out the characters profiles. We have 10 of the best known online personalities in the fields of tech, food, fashion, beauty, and travel in the programme. They are vernon chan, rebecca saw, karen kho, ben ashaari, cheesie, kelly chin, ah Bok, chriz ooi, ami schaheera, and Jacklyn Gan.

What’s Nokia’s involvement in the programme?

Every online personality/influencer is always equip with a gadget, and hence the Nokia Lumia 1520 is showcased throughtout the show as a tool to empower these influencers on their task every episode.

What are my hopes for the first online reality tv show?

This is more for the influencers, to showcase their voice, and their talent. They are not just bloggers as people call them, but more than that. There’s a reason all of you follow them on a daily basis be it on instagram, Fb, twitter or their blog, and through this show, you will find out so much more about them. In addition, I do wish to see it getting the ratings it should and that others will want to be the next Influencer.
