Yup, a whole half a year has passed by without us knowing it! It feels like just yesterday that we took out our pen and paper(or rather laptops) to start writing our resolutions for the year 2014!!!
Recently, over the past 2 weeks, alot have been going on with me that I will not talk about till I am ready… But, it definitely serves as a reminder to me not just to appreciate people around me, but never to take my health for granted….
Now, let’s get back to resolutions… it’s re-visit those resolutions you have written for this year, whether you are on track, have yet to start, or your course of life has changed..
For my track record, here’s what I have achieved…
1. Being involved in more charity projects.. This was back at Kechara Soup Kitchen in Jalan Imbi where I helped pack medical supplies.. It angers me that the government wants to shut them down.. I have serve food there before and there are NO tourists who come and get food but rather REAL HOMELESS PEOPLE!!! Do share this and stop this absurd talk… However, my aim is to be more involved this year with the orang asli community too..
2. Socialized more – I definitely went out of my way to attend events this year… To mingle and get to know new friends:) This one I am definitely achieving
3. Exercising more – Yes, I manage to achieve this one as I started running 2km 3 times a week with my dad and dog… It helps alot.. but now I am on a break till I fully recover and I am planning to take up yoga too:)
4. Passed my comps and definitely collecting data now.. I can safely say that I am achieving this one..yay!
5. With the amount of time I have now, which I will soon write about… I have really open myself to self-discovery and a closer relationship with God. Of course, praying and meditating on a daily basis truly calms me, and just being happy consciously…
Now, I have shared with you my resolutions for the year till now, whether I have achieved it or not..? I think it’s time you do too… Digging up that piece of paper and folder you’ve kept all your resolutions in and making sure you re-visit each one of them…
After all, what’s the point of writing resolutions when you don’t even bother about them right? Be discipline guys.. it goes a long way:)
Have a good weekend!
Love,
Mei Sze
