One of my dream destinations was to go to Jeju Island in South Korea because I am hooked on Korean drama and they always feature Jeju Island…Guess subliminal advertising does work!
After I got off the plane, the first thing we did was head to Seogwipo town which has quite alot of attractions as our hotel was nearby…
Where better to start then the teddy bear museum?
Really did not know what to expect there but it s a three storey building that house different types of teddy bears. They basically used teddy bears to tell stories of what happened back in the day…
Me standing next to a traditional Korean village..and do you remember care bears?
12 Feet teddy bear!
Before you leave the museum, don't forget to check out the Elvis Presley show ..pretty cool using teddy bears 🙂
Next, up..walked down the road to Chocolate Land!
I admit, I am pretty much a terrible tourist because I don't do research beforehand..but I am the type that likes recommendations from locals rather than reading up… sometimes that lands me in hot soup! But we only live once!
Let's see what's inside?
3,000 Korean Won and on top of that, we get a coupon for free drinks, ice cream or discount of any chocolate purchase! What a steal
Cutesy stuff inside
Everything was made of chocolate even the coca-cola..yumzzz…I met Willy Wonka!
A painting made of chocolate… so real!
Time to check-in to our cute accomodation, very similar to a bed and breakfast… I have to admit that it's best to reply their email that they sent you before you arrive so they can pick you up as not many cabs know how to get there..
JEJUECO SUITES blew our minds as it was beautiful and very picturesque. You have nature all around you..
Breakfasts is held every morning at the lounge area, and there is ALL DAY coffee and tea! The room was so spacious with a living area.. The guy in the picture is Viktor who was super-duper hospitable..picked us up and even sent us for dinner(you will check out the black pork specialty in my next post).. This place does not just look good but I will give it a 5 star rating in terms of service..
Bedroom separated into another room, and there is even a small kitchen and dining area..
Plus, a patio with a jacuzzi! Where do you get that right??! Jacuzzi overlooking the greens… that is the life!
So, you know where to stay when you are in Jeju. Not only affordable but has everything in this small boutique hotel..you won't regret it..I promise you that!
Stay tune for more of Jeju in my next post 🙂
Yours Truly,
Mei Sze
