I thought it’s apt that my first post for the year is sharing my newfound “look” as this is something new for me ,and I definitely need to get use to it!
Never in a millions years would I imagine that I would be wearing glasses as I always had a 20/20 vision. Recently, after going for an eye check-up, I have come to realize that’s not the case anymore as my astigmatism went up and I am slightly short sighted! I have to admit, it was pretty dangerous driving over the past year as I can’t read some of the sign boards on the road and night time driving for me was difficult with the glaring lights.
After much procrastination, I finally decided to make a pair of glasses which I can use for a long time….

What I liked about Eyecon was the personalized service by the opticians and how it was so high tech especially for our eye check-up, something we neglect!
Various lenses to try to test the eyes
The I-profiler which analyses each eye to identify defects known as aberrations; this allows each lens to be individually surfaced to optimise colour contrast and night vision.
The I-profiler is also an auto retractor and corneal topographer, which can be used to precisely fit the best contact lenses for each individual. The topography image of my eyes!
I brought my mom to Eyecon for a check-up too and she loved it as her she was not too comfortable with her previous prescription

Time to fit the chosen frames on my face
As you guys know, bespoke means customization. With Tom Davies, you can customize everything from the colour, to the type of frames, and ear piece
The process for the eye test and frames selection lasts at least 1 hour, so be prepared for that but you know you are getting the best instead of wrongly fitted frames and lenses
After that, you just need to wait for your glasses to be made in Europe and shipped over. The nice thing is that they update you from start to end via email on how your glasses are being made
